Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (film)

Indy is getting old - and an old Indy isn't quite the same as an Indy in his prime - even if this movie has all the classical elements and feel of a true Indy-movie. This must surely be the last movie that features Harrison as the main character. He does a good job, but it shows he isn't 40 any more. As my friend Jenny said - part of the meaning with this movie seems to be to introduce Indy's son as a potential heir for the Indy concept.

That said - this is a pretty good movie. (If you didn't go to the cinema expecting Pulitzer material - but you really didn't for an Indy movie, did you?!)
I especially like how it flirts with the old movies - in particular, the very first in the series. The ark of the covenant even shows in one scene and nobody who's seen the trailer for this movie can have missed the the first "Indy-babe", Marion Ravenwood, is back with a vengeance.

It might not be a movie you'll think about for aeons afterward (which Indy is?), but if you like a good adventure and want to be entertained for a while - go see it! It might not be exactly as good as the first movie (sequels seldom are) but it's good enough!
